Home.
There is nothing like hands in the dirt to make a girl feel grounded after two days of travel. I was so thrilled the Calendula made it through the first few frosts that came while I was away. Harvesting flowers is probably my favorite garden task, I’m grateful for another chance to fill a basket this season. This has been my best season with Calendula and I’m pretty excited to shift into inside time and start making some skin care products with this gorgeous little orange flower.
The last of the peppers and tomatoes from the greenhouse came in and the seedlings are ready to transplant. (Thanks to my guy for keeping them watered while I was away!) Dahlias need dug. Beds need cleaned. Garlic needs planted. Plenty to keep me busy until it’s truly too cold to be outside for hours on end….
Doing a small mend on a thin spot before I wash this sweater I found in a freebie pile in Cordova. Vintage LL Bean. I can pretty much never pass up a well made wool sweater…..
