The kitchen table looks like this about every other day. The dehydrator is running nonstop. Over three gallons of blueberries have gone in the freezer. I’m also making jam, pickles, fruit liqueurs, and tinctures!

Garlic is curing. My tiny crop of onions too. Reliance peach harvest is done and the Contender peaches are yet to come, those trees are still young so we only got a few on each one this year. Between the two varieties, we’ll have peaches ripening over a 4-6 week window. They are tiny and delicious!

That’s a swallowtail caterpillar. I planted lots of extra dill this season (their favorite) and I’ve been enjoying batch after batch of caterpillars in the garden. They do limited damage, so they share well for pickle making. Totally worth seeing those gorgeous butterflies!

Lastly, Soph sent me an instagram reel with a pumpkin arbor and said I should make one, so here it is. Not the lushest because we’re experiencing a drought, but a sweet little spot just the same. Looking forward to seeing how the winter squash do on the vine, I’ve been weaving them through to get them to climb up it. I am totally smitten with arbors, they really can do a little of everything!
